Development monitoring on behalf of the Freeholder, the City of London, of a hotel redevelopment on the banks of the River Thames.


The scheme comprises a 220 bedroom 5 star hotel with 9 serviced apartments overlooking the river along with a double height riverside bar, restaurants, conferencing, gym, spa and other amenity areas. Very challenging site straddling Upper Thames Street with complex logistics. Extensive involvement over 10 years having acted as Development Manager for the previous developer and obtained planning consent prior to selling the scheme. Our role continued acting for the City of London as Development Monitor.
